The Hometown Harvest Fair celebrates its 10th anniversary on October 6, 2012 as the charming, tree-lined streets of our historic Business District set the stage for a great day in our community.
The beautiful fall weather brings a large crowd of 10,000 people out to enjoy our usual mix of family entertainment. There have been over 250 vendors and organizations offering art work, hand-crafted items, health and beauty products, home, garden and seasonal items as well as great food. This year we have added a stage bringing our total to five stages as well as strolling entertainment, keep the crowd entertained throughout the day. We have a Children’s Area with inflatables, pony rides, petting zoo, clowns, juggler, vendors and a stage with children oriented and educational entertainment. The Fair has many entertaining specialties such as pedal boats and dragon boats on the lake, Chili Tasting contest, mechanical bull riding, motorcycles, antique cars, operating model train displays, Trolley Rides, and of course the Ducky Derby to end the day.
To all of our exhibitors, patrons, volunteers, vendors and sponsors: THANK YOU!
The fair is expanding this year with a sanctioned BBQ event starting on Friday with a judging on Saturday Afternoon.
Looking forward to seeing you at the fair in 2012!!!
